Dear friends of our project!
We recently asked you for your assistence to help the victims of the earthquake that hit the south of Haiti on august 14th. For this action we cooperated with our collegues of the foundation Vrienden van Haiti Nederland. We collected (so far) about 525 euro. This amount has been doubled by the Dutch NGO Wilde Ganzen. With this money we have been able to make 20 food packages, consisting of rice, beans and oil for about 1 month for 1 family and we could add in every package 5 packs spaghetti, 2 tins of mackerel, 3 tins of tomato paste and 6 tins of milk. We decided not to enclose drinking water, since we understood the Dutch navy has distributed fresh water supplies in the region, and we did not want to do things twice.
Our packages have been distributed to families that were in need, most of them related to students of our project. We will show you the movie of the distribution of 1 package, and then a small photo show of happy people with their help package
