About 'our' graduates

Last week the 3 students that graduated in our program convened with our collaborator Nickenson St firmin to brainstorm about their future activities to create an independent income.
They came up with the plan to start their own business. They want to establish a shop for selling construction materials, food supplies and cosmetics. Such a shop until now has not been available on the island of Ile a Vache, so that the population has to travel for every purchase to the main land by taxi boat. This is not only time consuming but it also costs lots of money. For that reason not only 'our' graduates will profit immensely from their initiative, but the whole island population will be better off, once the shop is functioning.
They will apply for micro credit to do their first investments. In the future new graduates might be able to join in the undertaking with their acquired skills.
We are so happy and so proud of these 3 young people. We wish them all the luck they need to make this plan working.
This is indeed what we are working for!
